As part of restoring broken down teeth, it is important to place a post-and-core buildup on the remaining tooth structure prior to placing the final restoration. This CE webinar will discuss techniques and new materials used in core restorative approaches. Dr. Fanica will discuss best practices (materials and clinical techniques) related to the chairside fabrication of structurally sound restorations, including bonded post-and-core buildup.
Upon completion of this CE webinar, the students will be able to: • The importance of using a dual cure adhesive inside the root canal • Choosing the right type of post for core build-ups • Conserving as much dentin as possible by using caries indicators • Minimalizing the shrinkage by using delayed light activation. • Isolation in extreme clinical cases. • Removing old posts in a predictable way.
