Good oral health plays an important role in a student’s performance at school. Dental disease can distract from learning, cause students to miss school, or even lower their self-esteem. With caries being the most common chronic childhood disease in the U.S., it is crucial for us as clinicians to have strong prevention protocols in place. Fluoride varnish is an essential tool in preventive care. But what about patients who present with active caries? This CE webinar will address silver diamine fluoride (SDF) and how it stops further progression of caries lesions thus controlling the disease even if we can’t restore the tooth with drilling and filling right away.

During this CE webinar, we will:
• Understand the role of fluoride varnish and silver diamine fluoride in your toolkit
• Learn about the unique benefits of using “combination therapy” of SDF followed by fluoride varnish and SDF followed by Glass-Ionomer followed by fluoride varnish
• Examine evidence-based recommendations for the use of these products
• Discuss how to successfully convey the benefits of these treatments to our patients   ( disclaimer , AGD PACE Statement )
